Celebrated kaiseki restaurant Okuda (with locations in Tokyo and Paris) arrives in Chelsea today, November 15. Okuda joins other Japanese-based imports that have invaded NYC in recent months, including nearby Naoki, which also serves kaiseki-style menus. Okuda New York offers an intimate dining experience, seating seven guests at the counter and serving up simple, yet refined, ingredient-driven plates. For this expansion, Toru Okuda has joined forces with chef Mitsuhiro Endo, sous chef Kazuya Hatta and manager Moe Sakamoto.
